Oh what to say about today? Spent the morning working on my progect to organize the nail shop. I’m a bit OCD so 600 nail polishes in complete random places and unlabeled just drives me batshit. It’s a work in progress, but I’m busy weeding out and storing the duplicate colors and getting them at least grouped by brand as much as I can. My boss, the shop owner, Sue will be leaving for a month long trip to Vietnam and I will be running the shop alone while she is gone. I am nervous, but I think I can handle it.
I had dinner with my son Ty and my boyfriend Dave tonight. I absolutely love hanging out with them together! We talk and luagh and it’s just so NORMAL. Bonus- I got to pay for dinner. Dave very very rarely lets me pay for anything, but I got some decent tips and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it.
Been feeling guilty all day about missing the gym. Between mother nature’s fury shark week and oversleeping, I have bern lazy. Not good. I need to get back into the swing of it ASAP.
Well so far this blog is pretty crazy regarding posts! I’m just going to put in whatever I want in any order I want. Good luck making any sense of it!

Spoiled day

Philosophy pink frosted animal cracker body wash/bubble bath/shampoo. Smells sooo yummy!

Sephora Moonshadow Baked pallette. These shades are all shimmery but smooth. The cobalt blue is gorgeous!

Republic of tea Hibiscus and watermelon iced tea bags. This was on clearance at Crate and Barrell for six bucks. Couldn’t pass it up!

Hot pink off the shoulder sweater from Arden B ( love that store!) This is gonna go great with leggings and my new docs!

Also from Arden B, this dress just knocked Dave out. Half black half white and a really soft light sweater material. ( He shops by color, I shop by texture! lol). I love it because it can be dressy or casual and it has long sleeves but they are rushed a bit so its closer to 3/4 length.
So many beautiful things my giant treated me with today. He is so sweet to me!

Photos from our lunch at Terry’s Turf Tavern ( I think that’s the name). It was featured in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. They have chili made with filet minon and you can get brie on your cheeseburger! Beyond yummy!

Once upon a time…

So once upon a time ( a little less than two years ago) there was a girl who was sad and fruatrated that she had made more than a few bad decisions in her life. She felt as if she had given up control to others who did not have her best interests at heart. So she decided to change. She seperated herself from almost everyone and decided that she was the only person in the whole world she could count on. She held herself responsible for her poor choices, forgave herself and moved on independently. It was very hard. She did have help from some folks who never really left her side and this helped her to trust a little again. As she grew she realised how big this world truly is and if she wanted something she had damn well better go find it as whatever it was probably wasn’t just kicking it outside her door for her to trip over. She started looking high and low, near and far for all things big and small that not only made her feel happiness but could bring some happiness to those around her as well.
This was the beginning of my journey. It took 38 years just to get to the starting off point, but you’de be amazed the happiness one can stuff into even just one minute!

Hello world!

My very first post! Woohoo! I decided to start a blog to have a place to post my thoughts on my pretty awesome daily life. I have so many things to share and I already know that it will really have no rhyme or reason. I just like to take lots of pictures and share pretty and happy things.
